Entry Fees for Haller Park, Fort Jesus, Vasco Dagama Pillar, Shimoni Caves and other Tourist Attractions in the Kenyan Coast

When planning a vacation to the Kenyan coast, every traveler should know the current Rates for most Parks, ruins and other attraction sites. Generally the entry charges for various parks and sites under the National  Museums of Kenya(NMK)  and Kenya Wild life Service  (KWS) keep changing . Some parks offer discounted rates and you may save more especially when travelling as a group .For example if you are visiting Gede ruins and Malindi museum within the same day, the entrance ticket for Gedi can be used to access Malindi museum .In this article we have compiled the most current entrance fees for all major parks, ruins and other attraction sites in the Kenyan coast.

  NB:If you are visiting Lamu Museum, you can use the ticket to access Takwa ruins, Siyu fort ,Swahili House Museum ,Lamu fort  and German Post office. For those visiting Gede ruins in kilifi, the same ticket can be used to access Malindi complex , House of Columns ,Portuguese Chapel and Vasco Da Gama Pillar if you are travelling within the same day

                   

               Procedure for Filming in KWS Parks

  1. You are required to have filming permit from the ministry and approved from Kenya Wildlife Service Licencing office
  2. Approved filming applications should be subjected to the following payments
  •  1-5 crew members -kshs 8,000 per week or part of thereof
  • 6-10 crew members -kshs 12,000 per week or part of thereof
  • 11 and above crew members -kshs 20, 000 per week or part of thereof
  • 15 % of the total fees paid should cater for environmental management in case  of off-road

NB:The filming does not include park entry fees and camping fees ,security or any other services provided by the management.All filming fees should be paid upfront upon arrival
